There were 215 million children involved in child labor, and 115 million of these children are involved in hazardous work. Asia and the Pacific still has the largest numbers which would be 78 million of child population, but sub-Saharan Africa continues to be the region with the highest incidence of child labour . There are 13 million of children in child labor in Latin American and the Caribbean and in the Middle East and North Africa there are 9.2 million. Agriculture remains by far the most important sector where child labor can be found 98 million, but the problems are not negligible in services 54 million and industry 12 million - mostly in the informal economy.The intensified poverty in parts of Africa, Asia, and Latin America causes many children there to become child laborers.Poverty and lack of schools are considered as the main causes of child labor. children and their families must rely upon child labor in order to improve their chances of attaining basic requirements.
